Biography

" I have been drawing for a very long time but it’s been relatively recently that I started doing erotic illustrations on a professional level. I enjoy working on a traditional portrait, however with my erotic illustrations I have full control and the power to portray something the way that I originally visualize it. Unlike doing a traditional portrait, I’m not bound to the way the subject looks on a photograph, so likeness is not important.

Drawing nude models in art class was my forte when I was going to art school.  Everybody liked the way I drew the female models because I often added a personal touch to the drawing.  I could always turn an average looking model into an absolute charm.

I am currently doing illustrations for TIGHT magazine in New York, you will see my work there every month.  I have been commissioned to work for Barely Legal magazine (Hustler).  Other clients include:  Baby Face magazine;  Fiona Cooper Videos in the UK;  Sizzle magazine from NBM Publishing in New York;  Just Come of Age magazine, and numerous commissioned illustrations.

In May of 2000, I published my first book "Just Bloomed" containing a portfolio of all my erotic illustrations through 1999.  In December of 2004 I will publish my second book "Just Bloomed 2", which will include most of my work in the last four years.  This book is special to me as it will include my techniques and a step by step process.  People will learn a little more about me as a person and an artist.

One of my inspirational artists is Alberto Vargas (also from Peru), who illustrated the pages of Esquire magazine back in the 40’s and 50's.  He later became the official pin-up artist for Playboy magazine in the 70’s.  Another artist for whom I have a lot of respect and admire is the wonderful figure painter Steve Hanks.  His watercolors are absolutely superb and can only hope that one day I will achieve such level of skill.

I have a Commercial and Fine Arts degree from the Connecticut Institute of Art and have attended many drawing and painting seminars in New York.  My favorite mediums are, pencil, watercolor and pastels."
